My Story (so far)
When I was a boy, my mother took me to the Ohio Renaissance Festival.
I loved archery so much that I was asking for band-aids, since my fingers were bleeding from shooting so much. Despite this, I was still asking for more arrows. Eventually, the people who worked there started GIVING me arrows. I guess they felt guilty for taking a kid’s money.
One day I went up with my friends. I ended up staying at the archery range the whole time XD. It was then that I was offered a job working at the Renaissance Festival. Ever since 2016, I have been working at the Ohio Renaissance Festival.
I enjoyed it so much that I packed my bags and did a fair in Peoria, Illinois, six and a half hours away. Then it was off to Ashtabula County in Northwest Ohio, four and a half hours away, to teach at the Great Lakes Medieval Fair. Then Florida, where I taught archery at Suncoast Renaissance Festival and Brevard Renaissance Festival. I also worked at the Florida Renaissance Festival in Deerfield Beach, about forty minutes north of Miami. At that show, I ended up working at the weapon-throwing wall. Lastly, I would travel five and a half hours to Arrington, Tennessee, for the Tennessee Renaissance Festival.
But now I am ready to do more than work at the Renaissance Fair. I am ready to teach people recurve archery because that is what I am truly passionate about: watching others succeed, taking their doubt and turning it into self-confidence.
